The Great Megalodon

A project in loving what brings me and so many others joy.

Who I am:

So, I’d like to welcome all the good people reading this to a new adventure I’ve wanted to start for quite awhile. In case you’re not familiar, my name is Kyle Matovcik. I do political and social commentary, fix cars and most importantly to you, reading this publication now and going forward… Play guitar in a metal band.

Ultimately, my opinion is completely irrelevant, as I’m just another dude who likes heavy metal. But I decided this is a passion project of mine, it makes me happy, and why not share that joy with everyone who will listen?

The Idea:

So I called this “The Great Megalodon” because I love sharks. Don’t ask me why. Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been obsessed. Cookie cutter, Great White, Whale, Blacktip Reef, Bull, whatever shark… There’s something cool about them. Anyways, I wanted to get more into the music world and I thought this would be an interesting and different avenue for me to veer into. There seems to be a lack of content on this platform regarding Heavy Metal. So I’ll act as the change I’d like to see.

What you should expect:

I want to make finding music that I personally enjoy and think others would too more accessible. So I’m going to listen to the albums and content I review for you.

I’ll tell you, gladly! Because I believe metal makes the world a better place. I want to share it with everyone, just like when you cook an awesome meal, the first thing you want is someone else to enjoy it with. (Maybe that’s just me, though). Anyways, I’m going to put each album in a few categories:
